1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Dharma Saathi. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our services.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or prominent notice on the platform at least 30 days before taking effect. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

2. Eligibility

To use Dharma Saathi, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• Not be prohibited from using our services under applicable law
• Not have had your account previously suspended or terminated for violating our terms
• Provide accurate and truthful information about yourself

By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

3. Account Registration and Security

3.1 Account Creation

You may create an account using email/password authentication or through supported OAuth providers (Google, Facebook). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.

3.2 Account Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Update your profile information to keep it accurate
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

3.3 One Account Per Person

You may only create and maintain one account. Creating multiple accounts or impersonating others is prohibited and may result in account termination.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

4.1 Profile and Content Violations

• Providing false, misleading, or deceptive information
• Using photos that are not of yourself or are misleading
• Creating fake profiles or impersonating others
• Posting inappropriate, offensive, or explicit content
• Including contact information (phone, email, social media) in your profile or messages to bypass platform features

4.2 Harassment and Abuse

• Harassing, bullying, stalking, or threatening other users
• Sending unsolicited commercial messages or spam
• Engaging in hate speech, discrimination, or promoting violence
• Sharing intimate images without consent

4.3 Fraudulent Activities

• Soliciting money or financial information from other users
• Operating scams, pyramid schemes, or fraudulent activities
• Using the platform for commercial purposes without authorization
• Attempting to bypass payment systems or subscription requirements

4.4 Technical Violations

• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfering with the platform's operation or security features
• Using automated systems (bots, scripts) to access the platform
• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or extracting source code
• Scraping or harvesting user data

4.5 Legal Violations

• Using the platform for any illegal purpose
• Violating any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringing on intellectual property rights
• Engaging in activities prohibited by your local jurisdiction

5. Content Moderation and Verification

5.1 Automated Moderation

All photos and profile text are automatically screened using content moderation technology. Content that violates our community standards will be rejected, and you will be notified to provide alternative content.

5.2 Verification

We offer optional face verification to enhance trust and safety. By submitting verification photos, you consent to facial recognition technology being used to compare your selfie with your ID photo and profile photos. Verification photos are deleted after processing.

5.3 Right to Review and Remove

We reserve the right to review, reject, or remove any content that violates these terms or our community guidelines, with or without notice. We do not pre-screen all content and are not responsible for user-generated content.

6. Subscription Plans and Payments

6.1 Free and Paid Plans

Dharma Saathi offers a free plan (Drishti) with limited features and premium paid plans (Sparsh, Sangam, Samarpan) with additional features and higher quotas. Plan details and pricing are available on our pricing page.

6.2 Billing and Payment

• Payments are processed securely through Razorpay
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Prices are in INR or USD as displayed at the time of purchase
• All sales are final; refunds are provided only as required by law or at our discretion
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers

6.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused time.

6.4 Quota and Feature Usage

Each plan includes specific profile viewing quotas, message request limits, and other features. Quotas reset at their designated intervals (daily/weekly/monthly). Unused quotas do not roll over.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

7.1 Our Rights

The Dharma Saathi platform, including its design, features, functionality, text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

7.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (photos, bio, messages). By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving our services. This license terminates when you delete content or close your account, except for content shared with other users (which may be retained in anonymized form).

7.3 Feedback

Any suggestions, ideas, or feedback you provide about our platform may be used by us without obligation or compensation.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

8.1 "As Is" Service

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

8.2 User Interactions

We are not responsible for the conduct of users on or off the platform. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. We do not conduct criminal background checks on users. Exercise caution and common sense when interacting with others.

8.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to liability, or $100, whichever is greater.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Dharma Saathi, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the platform
• Your violation of these terms
• Your violation of any rights of another user or third party
• Your content and interactions with other users

10. Termination

10.1 By You

You may close your account at any time through account settings. Upon closure, your profile will be permanently deleted (subject to legal retention requirements).

10.2 By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for:

• Violation of these terms or community guidelines
• Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
• Extended inactivity
• Any reason at our sole discretion

10.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the platform immediately ceases. Provisions regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution survive termination.

11. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

11.1 Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict of law principles.

11.2 Dispute Resolution

13. General Provisions

13.1 Entire Agreement

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, constitute the entire agreement between you and Dharma Saathi.

13.2 Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

13.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision or our right to enforce it later.

13.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these terms or your account without our consent. We may assign these terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
